Blog Giveaway Reminder

Lake Pend Oreille and Idaho's State flower - Syringa
This is what it looks like right now in my neck of the woods. It's been hot and the flowering trees are flowering. What's it like in your part of the world?

There haven't been a lot of comments on Post 1600 where I am giving away one of my padfolios. But there's still time and your chances of winning are good! You have until Monday to leave a comment on that post telling me what you like best about my blog. Remember to include your name in your comment if you are logged in as "Unknown" or "Anonymous".

I limit my sales to within the United States but I'll ship my freebies anywhere. So if you are one of my international readers, this may be your only chance to own one of my padfolios. Plus I really would like to know what brought you to my blog and keeps you coming back. Pop on over and write me a quick note, and your name will go into the proverbial hat for the drawing next week.

You ask what it's like here?

Well Spring is definitely in the air. There is still a nip too, but the temperature dial is creeping up. The other day I had to drive to Liverpool (work related and 200 miles from where I am) but the sky was blue all day ( not that common here in Blighty. It might start blue but usually powder puff clouds appear and get denser as the day progresses) and it was warm in the sunshine. Coffee out on the balcony.

So Soring is beginning to take hold.

That said this morning is grey and not looking too promising.

Your state does look beautiful.

Sheila we are enjoying Spring, but it is not so warm this year. The sun shines most of the time these days where we are, in the middle of the south of England, but there is a distinct chill overnight. There's even frost on some mornings.

In the past several years we have had a hot spell in April, around Easter, when Summer clothing was worn before May, ignoring the old saying: 'Ne'er cast a clout till May be out!' (I'm not sure whether the May is the month or the colloquial name for hawthorn blossom, which blooms in May.) This year I can see that warmer clothing will be worn into May, and perhaps during too.
