You ar...Hilary, thanks for the lovely long comment. You are so right about how much time writing blog posts take, at least the way you and I approach it. Sometimes there really isn't time with all that life throws at us AND the time it takes to make what we do. Perhaps drawing up that schedule so you can see better what the year holds will help you allot your time better, or at least help reduce some of the stress of deadlines. I always enjoy your posts, no matter how long it may be between them. Do what you can, but yes, Facebook can be such a time sucker!

As for the snow dump, I moved back to Idaho for a reason, and that was one of them! I never stopped to think that snowblowers wouldn't be a thing over your way, even though I know you don't get much snow.

Good luck with 2018. I'll be watching! The Idaho Beautyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09979439849662755082noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19193398.post-24819625721208083782018-01-01T23:09:37.764-08:002018-01-01T23:09:37.764-08:00Oh Sheila! So good I had to sleep on it and come back to it this morning.

There is so much packed in here.

Firstly that analysis of blogging versus social media. How brilliant is that? I know I spend too much time flicking through Instgram and Facebook. It's addictive and wastes time. But how correct - it's not substantial. It just makes a bit of noise.

My blogging has suffered this year. I'm time poor and blogs take time to compose and publish. I try to have blogs in the bank ready to go but lately have failed.

I need to plan this year. Plan my shows and public outings and plan my blogging. I love my blog but, like a garden, it needs regular tending to stay lovely.

So, maybe my resolution should be to blog more frequently and keep away from Facebook. I'll try!

Meanwhile that's a hefty snow dump. We never see snow like that here. I cannot imagine it snowing for 12 hours never mind 48. And it's for that reason no one has a snow blower over here. It's all about shovelling when it does fall.

Right - I'm off to walk the dog. It's back to the day job for me and we need to get back into routine.

Happy new year to you.
