Today marks 12 years since my husband passed on to a better world. I never dreamed I'd be spending it relatively near the spot where the traffic accident that took his life occurred (about an hour & a half north of Rochester). But I am here with my good friend who also knew and loved him, and I am very happy that she is with me on this day. I found his signature Louis Jadot wine and raised a glass in my annual toast to his life and all he did for me. We think he is looking down and approving, and saying extra prayers for my friend - he doesn't want to see her again anytime soon...
The Blue Moon, by the way, is for a chicken dish I'm cooking my friend soon. Yeah, right, I can hear you all saying!

Thinking of you and sending an internet hug Sheila. Take care x
Cheers to you, Sheila, and to good friends, good memories and a successful trip.
You never know what interesting turns life will take. I'm glad Judi's with you on this day, and I hope the chicken is delicious.
So glad to hear you are with Judi to help support each other at this time! Thinking of you both
I love your sweet tribute to your husband shared with a friend. Your support of each other makes up some of the best "stuff" on this earthly trek. I wish you both the best.
Thanks you all for your kind comments and indulging me this personal remembrance. Love you all!
